I am a qualified clinical psychologist and have been practicing for 12 years. I am registered with and accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) and maintain high standards in my practice.
I have worked within the NHS, private settings and overseas as a qualified clinical psychologist. I have worked in specialist eating disorders services (in both community and inpatient settings), and in general mental health services. As well as having specialist experience with eating problems, I have worked extensively with young people and adults with a range of difficulties, including anxiety disorders (such as panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety and OCD), depression, low self-esteem and trauma.
I enjoy working with clients and supporting them towards their desired goals and objectives. I take a non-judgemental stance and aim to help clients discover their own strengths and resilience from within to help them move forward in their lives.
I am a member of the Bath ACT & Psychology Service.
We are a group of clinical psychologists who have training and a specialist interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is a powerful evidence-based behavioural therapy based on research into how the human mind works. The name of this therapy comes from the themes around ACCEPTING those things that are out of your control, and COMMITTING to changing those things that can be changed to make your life better.
